The iFi Audio hip-dac 3 houses a high-quality Burr-Brown True Native chipset to deliver a bit-perfect audio presentation. This chipset also allows for Hi-Res True Native playback of all music formats from MP3 to DSD256, PCM384, DXD384 and MQA.
Type-C Connectivity With XMOS 16-core Chip Processor
The upgraded hip-dac 3 now includes a USB-C port for data input and charging, supporting high-quality audio up to 32-bit/384kHz. It's compatible with USB 3.0 and 2.0, ensuring precise data transfer without jitter. Additionally, there's a separate USB-C charging port for simultaneous use and charging. Hip Dac 3 incorporates an advanced XMOS microcontroller for efficient audio data processing, enhancing sound quality in collaboration with the Burr-Brown DAC.

It incorporates premium components like the custom iFi OV op-amp, a low-noise Texas Instruments power supply IC, and a high-quality volume pot. This amp stage can deliver up to 400mW into 32-ohm headphones and efficiently drive high-impedance headphones with an output voltage of 6.3V into 600 ohms from the balanced output.
